I'm in the process of restoring my Wing which I bought new.
I had a need to turn the engine over manually so I went for the kick start handle.
Couldn't find it . Looked everywhere.Think it got lost in our recent move.
Well, question is does anyone have a kick start lever they would be willing to part with ?

You can still turn the engine with the generator bolt and a closed end wrench or shallow socket and rachet.

Clockwise or counter-clockwise ?

Just in case you don't know where the bolt is located: It's under the small round cap/cover on the rear left side of engine very near the collar for the kickstarter.


Only clockwise (like tightening), counter clockwise could possibly back the bolt out.

Also slipping a short cheater pipe over the end of the wrench or rachet handle gives you more leverage and better control.

One other tip: Removing the sparkplugs makes it much easier to spin over.

I was looking thru some parts boxes and found the kick start lever.

Congrats! Now, when you're done with it, put it back where it belongs... inside the right side of the "fake gas tank"
