78 Goldwing Keeps Burning Neutral Fuse
78 Goldwing Keeps Burning Neutral Fuse
After putting my bike back together after waiting for a year to get the sheetmetal painted, one of the issues I have been having is every time I turn on the key, it burns out my Neutral 5Amp fuse. Any ideas on where I may look for the ground issue?

I'm not aware of a "neutral fuse".
Is this the 5 amp tail fuse?

Sorry, I just attached a photo, the fuse third from the bottom is blowing.

I've been looking close at the picture. It doesn't appear that the fuse is blown, just overheating.
The cause is a poor connection at the fuse contact clips.Same old problem...current flowing through a resistance produces heat.
If you remove the fuse , you will see corrosion and a loose fitting fuse. The clips MIGHT be cleaned and squeezed a bit tighter to hold the fuse firm. The clips are getting weak from age.
Those glass fuses should snam in very tight.
Some will replace the entire fuse block with a newer AGC type automotive blade fuse holder.

I see what you are saying, but I can hold the box in my hand and turn the key, and watch the fuse blow. I just don't know where to go from here. The fuse fits tightly.

OK.the fuse does blow.when it does , does it blow fast or get red like a heating element then blow.Next is , what size is the fuse and what does it operate.
Is there any add on equipment or lighting.
