Hi I'm in the process of restoring my 75 bike and need some advise on how to instal the wiring harness trough (inside) the handlebar.
It has proven to be very difficult . Any hint to ease the process?
Thanks for the advise!

Re: Wiring harness through handlebar
You want to "fish" it through. First lubricate the inside of the handlebar. There are fish wires that you can buy, but you can probably get it to work with an unbent coat hanger and some duct tape. The idea is to push the fish wire through (it's stiff, so easy to push), then fasten the harness to the fish wire. Gently pull on the fish wire while pushing the harness in from the other end.

Re: Wiring harness through handlebar
I've replaced the right-hand switch assembly more than once, but fishing the wires through the bars doesn't fight me as much as dealing with the throttle cables. Sure wish there was an easier way...
