Hi from Hellas ,i would like to ask about the Dyna ignition ,my question is if its so big the difference from the old two point system which my GLs have .IAlready installed a electronic ignition (used from Ebay no Dyna) but never worked. I installed to a GL1000 LTD which never worked properly and i wonder if i put it to my new GL1000 k3 i will have the same results.
I checked the electronic ignition by ohmmeter and seems to work properly at least on the bench.Anyway ,its better to buy a new one or to check my luck in a used one (only Dyna).
Also i want your opinion about tyres ,what kind for summer,spring trips.

I have a Dyna S on my 76. It has worked fine for 12 years with no problems. I will never go back to points. As for new or used I recommend new. Not that expensive and you get a warranty. Some (quite a few) of the older Dyna Ss had a problem with breaking down from heat build up so I wouldn't trust a used one. Good luck!

Thank you for the information,do you know if i have to change also the high voltage transformers (different resistance).

It is nice to use Dyna coils with Dyna electronic ignition as then you can open up the spark plugs for a larger spark. But it is not required to get a great running bike. Electronic ignition and good ignition wires and plugs is all you need for a great running wing.
