Runs then dies

Post by kevinpoore »

I bought a 1976 GL1000 (trike) about 6 months ago and it ran great. About 2 months ago it would start right up and idle ok. After I rode it about 8-10 blocks, it would die and not restart for a few hours. After pushing it home a few times, I got mad enough to start disassembly to part it out. Decided to keep it, but don't know where to start to repair it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Check fuel filter. If it's blocked it would cause this. It's a good starting point.
