Fan Switch

Post by GL_Steve »

Is there a list of vehicles with fan switches that are compatible with the GL1000?

I know the 1994 Geo Metro; the local supply shops want $100.00 for it so I'm thinking I will go to the local pick'n'pull and try to find one there.

I used the BECK/ARNLEY 2011614 switch from Rock Auto.

Was $16.95 delivered.

The pickup is different so you have to make up a wire(s) to connect it to the GL harness.

Works perfect.

I put this one in this spring when I did the water pump and thermostat. My fan was hot wired to a toggle switch and I hated that. Make sure you get the right size threads to match yours. I didn't pay attention and got the wrong size threads the first time.

I ordered the Beck Arnley one for $29.00 delivered.

That one on Ebay would cost well over $100.00 Canadian, shipped plus UPS' gouge and rape tax.
