how much to pay for 78 wing?

Post by KCwing »

I currently have a running 78 GL1000. However, it needs a few things to get it where I want it to be. I am looking at getting another 78 that runs but has more issues than I want to deal with. I will be using the second bike as a parts bike. The guy was asking $550 and I'm offering $300. Do you guys think its worth that being that I will use it for only parts?

Without knowing what's wrong with it and what parts are missing the $500 is kinda high for me.

Depends also on what parts you need from it.

400 is tops for a parts bike. $350 sounds better.

It depends on what is wrong with it but if it's still running and ridable, it might be better utilized as a running bike vs a parts bike.

Picked it up for $300. The pipes are original and are in good shape. Took the right caliper and brakes, Corbin seat (real nice with back rest), tail light assemble and put all on my bike. May part out the rest to get my $300 back. I think it was well worth it. Thanks for the advice. Just not ready to get it running just yet.
