GL 1000 carb conversion
Anyone know of someone who recently converted to a VW carb and what jet changes they may have done. I'm having tuning trouble with my conversion. It idles and runs strong at high rpm but bogs down at mid range from idle to 4000 rpm an even stalls out. Desperate an need help. I gave up on the stock carbs, a real pita.

over on the Steve Saunders forum, there is a separate category for single carbs.
I have not searched on this forum to know what it has....
I bookmark every thing I see, will look to see if VW shows up

this is the ONLY thread I have bookmarked that mentions VW carbs.

I created a Google Advanced Search and it came up with these links.

Thanks, I'll check it out. The problem with most is they are dated several years ago.

Re: GL 1000 carb conversion
The only thing bad about the stock carbs is that that do not store well full of fuel for two or more years. Honda thought we were going to ride every season. You are right that once they are cleaned out and rebuild with solid Randakk kits and video or Mike Nixon's book then every consecutive season is trouble free. Best of luck with your tuning and fuel distribution issues.
