It’s always something

Went to reinstall the water pump and transmission cover and noticed something didn’t look correct. One of the 17 mm o ring collars was missing. I don’t think I lost it...so now to either find one or make one. There is one on eBay in an engine misc parts grab bag....$40 with shipping....it’s looks like stainless 17mm x 10mm. Also my gasket kit is missing the small 8mm oring. Whaaaa..

Ended up making a new collar from a piece of 1/2 inch electrical conduit. It was slightly over sized, cut it lengthwise to reduce the diameter. Worked perfectly. I ended up reusing the missing 8mm oring. It looks good ...hopefully no leaks!

Finally got it completed and test run! The noise is gone and no leaks so far.
