Now my turn signal buzzer/clicker doesn't work anymore! Could that be because there isn't enough resistance? Do I need to use a higher ohm load resistor?
I didn't have a chance to figure out how to make the turn signal buzzer/clicker work before it started working nonstop, unless the bike is at idle, even when the turn signal switch is off it's making a buzz or click depending on how fast I'm going! Any suggestions on what is wrong and how to fix it?
I took mine off and got one from a guy here that is a bit louder but works very well.

It can either be plugged into the same spot or spliced into the lights on the rear fender.

It's probably because of having the load resistor connected to the flasher. You shouldn't need that resistor with a LED flasher.

So... a year and a half has passed and I'm back to this same problem (haven't figured out how to use my LED bulbs) I went back to the original turn signal bulbs (standard 1157s)

I have purchased the following:

4 1157 LED bulbs
https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinf ... r/811/721/

1 LED flasher relay
https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinf ... e/787/842/

2 LED Marker Lamp Load Resistors
https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinf ... x/191/832/

Could someone please tell me how to connect these up correctly?

I have tried using the bulbs with the load resistor connected to the replacement flasher relay and I wind up with the clicker/buzzer running all the time the bike is over an idle speed (2000k rpm +) ...I have also connected the load resistors to the positive of the bulb wires at the sockets... they stay on all the time same as if I were using the old flasher relay.

Do I not have the correct replacement LED relay? Am I using the wrong bulbs? someone please help!

I know this is not what you want to hear but I could never get them to work.

I spend quite some time on the phone with tech support at SBB and they were very helpful.

Just couldn't get it to work, no matter what flashers we tried.

No that is NOT what I want to hear!

Has anyone had any luck changing turning signal bulbs on a GL1000 to LEDs? If so please help!

If no-one can tell me how to get the LED bulbs to work... Could someone tell me (& show if possible) what the correct flasher relay is for my 1978 GL1000. A part number and picture of the original would be great! The one I'm using with my regular 1157 turn signal bulbs stops working when the bike get warm/hot & flipping the switch on/off while trying to make a turn is not fun!
