I own a 1983 1100 and I would say no to that question for the simple fact I found things wrong when I was tearing down and I assume that the other item was bad so I start tearing down further there was nothing wrong with the other item but once I had it out I had to go ahead and replace it call me more work and more money for myself

just my opinion, and sometimes it sure isn't worth much, but i'm not a fan of your new mufflers (please forgive me!) when i needed a set for my '78, i found a set of take offs from a new triumph and the fitment was really easy. we had to manufacture some header pipes and hangers, but it went pretty easy. by the looks of your work, you could do it.

nice part (i thought) is that they kinda resemble the old gl1000 mufflers (even have the stingers out the back) and make it run quiet as a sewing machine, which may be deal breaker if you want some noise.

again, each to his own......not trying to diss your work at all.
