I know this has been asked many times but I am still stumped I have rewired all the wires from the starter relay. But my problem now is when I plug the flasher relay in it starts clicking and gets very hot. I have cleaned the switches didn't see anything melted so not sure what I am missing. Any advice?
Thanks

That would indicate to me that it is either wired incorrectly, or is otherwise being presented with a direct short. It's possible for it to be shorted out directly, as soon as it turns on, it heats up instantly and opens up before the fuse can blow. It then cools off, closes the contacts again, and repeats. This could be from it being presented with a direct short to ground instead of a light bulb on its output.Dbett22 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 09, 2018 6:59 am I know this has been asked many times but I am still stumped I have rewired all the wires from the starter relay. If this is the case, then the contacts inside the flasher are likely arced and melted, and the flasher is more than likely scrap at this point.

That's what I am thinking also. I bought a new relay flasher and it heats up immediately and starts clicking. Now to tray and track down the short.

Take the left handlebar switch back off and see if you may have pinched a wire when you put the housing back on.
