I have an issue with the clutch on my GL1000.
It something gives a loud click and then the lever which is controlled by the cable is stuck and the clutch is constantly engaged. I have to manually pull it back a little and then the lever flips back and the clutch works again until it gets stuck again.
Does anybody know why this is happening?

Re: GL1000 Clutch issue
You probably need to adjust the clutch push rod. Loosen the cable all the way off, remove the cover on the back of the engine, 2 screws, loosen the lock nut and turn the screw clockwise until you feel resistance then back it off 1/2 to 3/4 turn and tighten the lock nut then re-adjust the cable.

Thank you Dave.
I adjusted the clutch push rod and it hasn't failed again.
