Hi I'm getting ready to do my timing belts.
My question is. What is the best way to get your timing right?
I was thinking about randakks timing degree wheel. But I don't know much about it.
What would be your suggestions?
And assume the timing is off. The guy I got it off replaced the over 3 years ago and don't think it was done right.

If you go by the timing belt tutorial in the how to's you have to be a dunce to mess it up. The ignition timing is another thing, takes patience and an understanding of how to set the points.

The guy told me it does not have point ignition anymore. It's been changed to electric.
Are those adjustable?

You should try to find out, some can tell just by looking at a picture of the plate.

If you are just replacing the belts, you don't need to be concerned about ignition timing. The belt pulleys just have to be timed (aligned) to the alignment markers. Which is covered in the tutorial.

Ok just changed the belts. Just have to get the cover back on.
Thanks for the push to do it my self. Saved me $100 from what local mechanics charge.
