Help 1979 gl1000

Help 1979 gl1000
I just bought this bike and I ran it in my garage got it up to temp and then I noticed a oil leak from a spot I posted pics from what is supposed to go here any help is appreciated

It sight glass is for seeing the timing marks with a strobe light when setting . it shouldn't be left on all the time there should be a alloy screw cap fitted

Sorry I am mistaken. It's early. You are right about the timing cap being slotted. There should be some on ebay.

Thanks that's a big help I wasnt sure what was missing just know I could see moving parts and a oil leak and that cap in the description should work?

Might be a better fit/finish than a knockoff.
Altho the knockoff appears to come with the needed O ring.
