Greetings Folks,
WHile trying to figure out the saddlebags, the instructions say to remove the turn signals on my 77 GL1000. And to replace with the "stalk" which allegedly is Vetter part and I don't have. Can't the turn signals assembly simply be transplanted to the new location on the vetter structure of the saddlebag? MIghty obliged.

Not sure which bags you may have but he's one with factory lights installed.bohdan wrote: ↑Thu Jan 03, 2019 8:30 am Greetings Folks,

Greetings , yes the turn signals are to be relocated. Hard to see in the picture, but seems the yellow turn signals have a different extension than stock. Hoping the stick signals would work. Cheers

Re: Vetter Top box and saddle bags
on my bike, the TSI are originally mounted to the grab rail under the saddle via some hollow pins. To mount the vetter kit, I had to take the TSI off and the pins out. I then re-used these with the vetter mounting hardware: I put the pint through the holes at the top-rear end of the saddlebag frames, using a 3d printed adapter. I can look up the design I made later, if you like. The reault is as in the above picture.

I found some pictures. In the first image you see the 3d printed adapter next to something I tried before, with in the background the stick-TSI
And here I painted and mounted them
If you want the 3d-file, PM me.- Fred Camper

Re: Vetter Top box and saddle bags
One option is to use the rear fender and turn signals from a 1978. Honda moved them off the grab rail to near the taillight and it works well for many saddle bags. I run the Hondaline saddle bags and the 1978 rear fender did the trick without really changing the bike much.
