New Stator (ESG060) Install issues
I have the old stator out (fried btw), and while I have the back cover off I cleaned it out and am replacing the gasket. My issue is the sealer plug for the new stator. I have tried and tried to get this thing to seat, but it seems too big for the plug hole. Its machined aluminum, so I don't want to put too much pressure on it. I've tried lubing it up with oil as well. Any advice?

If I recall there's an o-ring on that plug? (speaking of GL1100, never changed a GL1000 stator) Try a slightly smaller one? Take stator with you to your local ACE hardware for fitment.

There is an O-ring. I will definitely try a smaller one. Thanks for the advice!
