Hey all,
This is my first post on this site. I bought a modified GL1000 1976 a couple of years ago and rode for a couple of months until my wife got pregnant and had to stop for a while.
Now that my son is two years and things have settled at home, I took the bike to a shop for a complete strip down and have been upgrading/updating as some parts that I've been finding as I do my research.
Right now I'm trying to figure out if there's an upgrade for the front master cylinder other than the one that Randakk's has on the website. I found one that I like made by Nisisin https://4into1.com/nissin-retro-master- ... -8-piston/ , there's nothing wrong with the MC I'm just looking for a cleaner look .
I'm just not sure if it will work with the 76, any insight or info would be appreciate it,
Thank you.
Here's a couple of pictures of the bike when I got it, I'll post some more whenever I'm done with it.

Re: 1976 Gl1000 Master Cylinder Upgrade
Not sure if it would be referred to as an upgrade but I just replaced the front master cylinder on my 78 with one I purchased on Amazon. The original MC was sun baked & deteriorated and although it still worked it looked like crap.Do as search on Amazon and Ebay and you will come up with scads of MC's that will give you a cleaner look. I am pleased with the one I installed but a heads up. Only buy a unit with a 16mm bore (some are advertised as 15.8 mm) rather than the master cylinders with a 14 mm bore. The smaller unit does not have the volume to properly function on a bike with 2 rotors/calipers on the front. I know this from experience as I tried one and bled it several ways only to come up with a soft/spongy feel on the brake lever. I ordered a 16 mm after getting a refund on the first MC and it worked properly within minutes and a quick bleed of the front brake system.
These are inexpensive 18 to 25 bucks (made in China/Taiwan) depending on black or chrome etc. but I do know that others on the NGW (naked goldwing site) have used them with good results as well.

Thanks Joneszy,
I'll look into getting one of those and see how it works out.
