Hi guys,
I bought my 1978 GL1000 with no hose or anything connected to the Crankcase breather.
What would you recommend buying?
How should this look like in its original version and what would you recommend buying and connecting?
Thanks,
Dan

Re: Crankcase Breather Question
My 78 only ever had a hose that went from the air filter housing and was routed down to the air.
Maybe California models had a more elaborate setup but you really don't need anything.
It's really just a blowby hose.

Thanks for your reply.
However, I need to add a hose because when I really "push" the bike to high revs I get a spit of oil from that breather...

Re: Crankcase Breather Question
I kept the hose as it was there.
It just goes from the air filter housing to the bottom of the bike, there should be a clip that it fits into.
Does your's not have the nipple on the case?
If that is gone, you can just use a wire tie.
Your bike must have been made in late 77, like mine, as it does not have the canister.
The ones made in 78+ had the canister.
