hello
any tips on removing the pistons from the conrods please as I am rebuilding my engine and I thought it was time for new pistons
any help would be appreiciated

I haven't had a Goldwing engine apart to this extent, and the parts fiche doesn't show it, but in most cases there's a snap ring on either end of the wrist pin in the piston, remove the snap ring and you can slide the wrist pin out of the piston.
Unless there's a hole in one of your pistons or otherwise damaged beyond usable I wouldn't try to replace them. Internal engine parts for a GL1000 are all but impossible to find anymore.

I believe they have to be pressed in with I hydraulic press. Confirm this before trying. Make sure you can find the necessary parts before doing all this or you might wind up with the "bike in a box".

Yes I have been informed by old fogey that it's a professional job hydraulic press
with heat so I will just be cleaning up the old ones .thank you for the reply
