Re: Por15 tank sealer
I sealed my 76 tank 14 years ago with por 15. If you follow the directions exactly it wont clog anything. At least I had no problems. I'll admit that at the time I was clueless about the process so it never crossed my mind. The last step was to turn the tank upside down and drain the excess before it hardens. By the way after 14 years the tank still looks the same.

Re: Por15 tank sealer
I coated my tank last year- 77 1000. The screens and stuff at the end of the intakes will definitely seal up if you aren't careful. Mine were totally rotted away, so I used a dremel attachment duct taped to a stick to get down inside and cut away as much as I could.
The secret to keeping the pipe ends clean is tire caps. The ones that fit over the valve stem. They fit tightly over the end of the pipe and then you just coat the whole thing without worrying about it. To get the coated caps back out you just reach in with a long knife and cut them off- just slice around the end of the cap through the coating as you can reach, and then put a slice down the side of the cap. should pop right off.
Best of luck.
