Re: Adding pictures to your message
Nope did not work. What I did to get mine to work was pull the pic in to "Paint" program (Windows accessories) and then shrink it down, then save it as a jpeg file. After that, I could drag the new pic to the conversation block that we type in on GWD and TADA! It worked, this way we will never lose pics (like for how to and such).
Worked great.
Worked great.

Yea, I had all mine on the Photobucket, and found out the last 3 weeks it would not let me post anymore.....no 3rd party hosting. Ugh. OK, fine, be that way, lol.

What file formats are supported. I've tried jpg, gif, and jpeg and they all say invalid file types. Also what size should the image be?

JPG, GIF and PNG are supported. It can be any size (it will scale it down to fit) but try not to send 20 MB files to the site!Goldwinger55 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2017 10:14 pm What file formats are supported. I know how to add pictures, but last night after adding a few pictures, I got a notice this morning of GoldwingDocs Member Images update and all of our pictures were upside down! No problem if you are using a smart phone but not good on the neck if you are viewing from a desktop! How do I correct this? Thank you. tcryder

I was trying to post a picture last night and kept getting the message that it was too large, it is 1150x862. I even resized it to 50% and it still wouldn't post. Message says it is 2048x1536.

Except it doesn't work. Photobucket embedded images all usually fail - the image you posted looks like this to everyone else:
I'm actually planning to put a pop-up notice if people try to embed Photobucket images from now on, because they don't work anymore.

Every time i try to post a pic i get this;
After much messing about i found that i have to open my pics in "Paint", reduce them by 50% and save it in a PNG format.
This for me is much messing about and the main reason that i do not post on this Great site.
But i would like to
Peter.

If you're getting that little yellow triangle, the image processing can't read your JPG for some reason. Can you email me this image file, so I can figure out what is causing the problem? Re: Adding pictures to your message
After I have added picture files to my post using the "Add Files" button, I then sometimes accidentally click on the title of the image rather than the "Place in Line" button. The picture then opens and I can not get back to my posting at all. If I attempt to back out using the "backwards" arrow, it backs out of the application completely and I end up losing everything that I have entered up to that point. Is this normal or am I missing something?
