Radiator Cap Relocation

I swapped a CB750 tank onto my GL1000, however, I overlooked the fact that the radiator cap now interferes with the bottom of the tank. I need to relocate it somewhere, possibly outside the frame tube. Would copper pipe fittings and some soldering do the trick, or will it not hold enough pressure?

Old radiators are soldered copper and brass, also the pressure is much lower than water supply pressure, so you will be fine.
