1975 GL1000 Project

Post by 02z06dave »

Hi,
I am about to get started on my first goldwing project. I picked up 2 blue 75s, 1 with a title and 1 without. The one without is much nicer, so the plan was to combine the best of each onto the titled frame and part out the rest. After looking it over the non titled bike has a pretty low VIN number 1000749. Does the low number add any value to it? I'm wondering if maybe I'd be better off getting a title for it amd using it as a base instead of the other. The engine number is 1001694. Any opinions on this would be appreciated.
Thanks

I seriously doubt that number would make your bike more valuable. I am no expert however. Here is some interesting reading if you want more info on the early numbers. According to this the first production vin was 51. Good luck to you. https://www.motorcycleclassics.com/clas ... bz16jazhur
