Does Pacifico fairing use Honda headlight parts?
Hi guys. I just picked up a 78 GL1000 today. I haven't done any disassembly on it yet. It's very stock except it has a Pacifico fairing on it. It also has its stock headlight bucket with nothing inside it except a lot of wires and the stock chrome fork ears still mounted in place. Does anyone here know if the stock parts from the headlight assembly inside the original Honda headlight bucket was used in the Pacifico fairing? I am hoping the original design idea was to transfer all your Honda headlight parts into the fairing from your stock bike. My goal is to put this bike back to 100% stock condition again and I got the idea that maybe all the parts from the fairing might just go back into the original bucket. Thanks for any help from those of you who are familiar with these old accessory fairings.

Re: Does Pacifico fairing use Honda headlight parts?
You guys can stop looking now, I found it. I had time to start working on the bike and I removed the fairing yesterday. Only the glass headlight and bulb is a real Honda part. The rest of the retainer ring and base and adjuster assemblies, and even the outer chrome trim ring are made only for the fairing. That's really too bad, I was sure hoping the whole assembly was just going to bolt straight back into the stock Honda headlight bucket.
