Carb Drain Question

Post by pmacddd »

Unfortunately, I think my GL1000 spun a rod bearing or something, so the bike is going to sit for some time. My carbs are in great shape, and I would like them to remain that way until I can sort the engine issue. Question: If I drain the carbs, will that be sufficient to ensure they stay good for when they get put back into use? Will they dry out and need a rebuild anyway? I just hate to tear them apart later if not needed. Thanks.
