Sluggish Speedometer readings

Post by Peacockdawg »

Searched for topic (Sluggish speedometer) and did not find anything: I have a 1977 GL1000 that runs very well, however the speedometer is "sluggish" (slow to catch up with actual speed). I compared against an app that displayed speed and it eventually reads correct speed, however is very sluggish to achieve the correct speed. Is this a know problem and/or serviceable detail?

Probably just needs a clean and lube. Any speedo shop should be able to fix you up.
