I have a 1978 GW that has sat in the shed for over 20 yrs.. I do have 4 new carb rebuild kits sitting too.. Is it worth anything for parts?

I am missing a left side battery cover.

What color is the bike and would you be willing to sell that piece or others if I needed them? Or are you looking to get rid of the bike as a whole for parts?

With how easy it was for that particular piece to fall off without me knowing, I might be wanting the right side, maybe the fake gas tank side pieces as well.

color, not sure what is called,, dark red brown.. has fairing, has custom saddle bags & trunk, has chrome light bars top & bottom.. all in pieces sitting around in sheds.. Would be easier to sell whole bike.. I sold my 1980, 1983, 1986 GWs,, have 1998 & 2000 GWs

Selling it whole it might be worth $500 to someone. Part it out and put the parts on eBay and you could probably get quite a bit more, it's a matter of how much time and effort you're willing to put into it I suppose.

Do you have the rear grab bar, because I'd buy that in a heartbeat. There are quite a few parts that will get you some ca$h (side covers being one) so if you have the patience to sell off the more desirable pieces, you could make more than selling a complete bike.

I think the rear grab bar on mine is the rear cargo rack that is where the trunk mounts. ...that's where the rack mounts by the shocks.
