Is the carburetor vacuum cap,on the GL1000, the same on the 1978 & 1979?

I believe the vacuum cap is the same on the 78/79.

I might be wrong, have been in the past but always thought that the caps and slides were to be treated as a unit. Have always been careful to # the parts when disassembling carbs for cleaning and kept the slides with their correct cap. I may be overly anal about this but would not just order caps without the mated slides. Why do you need new caps? May be that you just need to have new buttons installed rather than buying caps off Ebay or wherever.
