Electrical issue

I have a 1978 gl1000 with the wind jammer on it. The rectifier plug shorted and fried it and the regulator. Since then I have replaced both and the bike runs fine. But now I'm having an issue with the turn signal circuit. It doesn't matter if the bike is running or not the turn signal fuse only last about 30 seconds to a minute. All help is appreciated thanks

maybe looking at it in a different light. like : my turn signal circuit shorted to ground and i blew the regulator rectifier throught the loop.
