Single Carb Conversion
I've had so much practice removing these carbs that it takes me 20 minutes from start to bench! They've been rebuilt twice and torn apart countless times. It's always the same result, one cylinder fails to work. That's it! I'm going to buy the single carb conversion that I see on Etsy. Any thoughts out there?

Re: Single Carb Conversion
I can understand your frustration with the carbs. I went thru the same thing. I ended up paying to have them rebuilt professionally 2x over two years and they never ran right or would flood the engine. My bike is a 1100.
I did do a bunch of research and ended up building my single carb set up. I went with a Motorcraft 5200 progressive 2 bbl unit. It took some dialing in, but runs well now. I love the progressive 2 bbl because 80-90% of your riding is on the first bbl, but when you want thrown back in the seat, the secondary kicks in and it revs so much quicker and better than I ever had with 6 years of the stock units. Good Luck!
