Rear Brake line replacement

In my attempt to rebuild the rear brakes, I damaged the metal line. I cannot find and metal tubing with the appropriate fittings on the end and my fittings are rounded off. Is it possible to replace the metal portion with a regular brake line?

I'm trying to do some riding in the rockies soon, and currently only have front brakes
