When I purchased my '76 LTD, it was loaded (bloated) with fairing, lowers, rack, trunk, onboard compressor, actual computer system, and on and on. The stock horn had been removed and replaced with an air horn setup. First step was to delete all the fooferah and tons of wiring. It is now very close to stock and everything works and it runs great. I have 2 OEM horns so hopefully at least one of them works. I read on another post here that wires to/from the horn are black and green. Black wire connects into white/green and green wire connects into green ( ground ). True? If so, I'm assuming the green/ground comes from the horn button, no? And, does it matter which wire goes to which post on the horn?
Thanks.

I'm not so sure about an inner child, but I have an inner idiot that surfaces every now and then..

Re: Question Regarding Reinstalling OEM Horn
Adding some extra oomph to your ride’s horn can definitely be a game-changer, especially when you’re cruising down the road and need to make your presence known. Plus, who doesn’t love a bit of customization, right?
I’ve seen a few folks talk about bosshorn.com, and the reviews seem pretty solid. Seems like they’ve got a good range of options to suit different bikes and preferences.
As for your question about whether it’s worth the upgrade, well, I reckon it depends on how much you value that extra blast of sound. If you find yourself wishing your current horn had a bit more punch, then it might be worth giving the BossHorn a shot
