head gasket replacement gl1000

Does anyone know if copper spray can be used on gl1000 head gaskets during replacement or will it cause electrolysis I'm ready to get this thing back together but the Honda Manuel doesn't specify however it does say a type of sealer can be used but which one?

if the gasket is stamped metal, yes. otherwise, just dry gasket.

It is an Athena gasket but it doesn't look graphite could not get any Honda gaskets they are out

I always install them dry with no problems. When you think they are clean clean them a couple more times. I use lacour thinner, scotch brite, and razor knife blade.

Yeah both block and head have been surfaced Ive changed tons of head gaskets so very aware of preparation just couldn't find any info on these particular gaskets they don't say yes or no on the sealer aspect I wish felpro permatorque was available as a head gasket for the goldwing they are hands down the best head gaskets I've ever used

I think the only decent options we have left for gasket kits are the Athena brand or the gasket kits from CMS

cometic are best, but not available for goldwings ad far as i know. maybe they are?

Nope Athena and vesrah are it Honda no longer makes their brand either it's farmed out
