Correct Front Fork Reflectors 1978 GL1000

Post by popandcranky »

This post is kind of nerdy but I am trying to put a 1978 GL1000 back to original and the aftermarket fairing has been removed and all parts are there EXCEPT for the reflectors that were on each side of the headlight bucket.
I have been able to figure out they were originally orange but was wondering what size and style they would have been.
I have some rubber backing parts that go behind them but am not sure about the reflectors themselves.
What size and style were these parts originally?
A search on ebay brings up different sizes and styles - even some with silver and some with black trim. Some even called 'cat eyes'.
I figure if I am getting some they might as well be as 'original' as possible.

Thanks for the help in advance.

You can still get the originals from Honda, since they used these plain round ones on a ton of bikes.
REFLECTOR, FR. REFLEX

You need to have the original bases as those are discontinued. However, there are a few on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/HONDA-33743-375- ... B00NNXAEPW

Thanks - great info.
I already have the bases.
Do you happen to know the diameter of these reflectors?
