Carb problem

At start up bike cols ticks over ok but when hot revs too high does not tick over.
Any ideas please.

He's saying your statement is incomprehensible, what exactly do you mean by "ticks over"? Switching gears?

EDIT: So apparently ticks over is british slang for an engine running at idle. In which case you are saying your idle speed is shooting up as it approaches operating temp, I had a similar problem with my bike when I first saved it from the last "mechanic" who worked on it. In my case the carbs themselves were beyond trashed with a frozen spark advancer and the curb idle screw was cranked up to compensate to get the bike ̶r̶e̶a̶d̶y̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶s̶o̶l̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶n̶e̶x̶t̶ ̶s̶u̶c̶k̶e̶r̶ running. So yeah, sorry I can't be more help, but in my case the carbs were far too gone to isolate what was causing it to any one issue.
