OEM Exhaust drain holes

Wondering why the 75 and 76 GL1000 OEM exhaust has 2 drain holes in the left muffler and only 1 in the right muffler. Seems strange. I checked them both close and there is no 2nd drain in the right...no sign of one closed by dirt or rust.
