Front Brake Caliper wear
Hi, I am restoring a 1975 Goldwing, while working on the front calipers I noticed wear on the aluminium housing where the brake pads locate (see the attached image), from my experience of cars and other bikes there is usually a steel shim located here to stop this from occurring, but when I viewed the parts fiche on CMSL Honda, no shim is shown on the GL1000 but is shown on later models, so is this normal for a GL1000 or is there parts missing? any help would be appreciated.
