Hello everyone, I am having trouble here with my 1977 Honda GL1000. I have had this bike for a few years now, I let it sit for a year and now all of a sudden when I turn the gas on to run it, it floods itself, but it will run on off. As soon as I turn the gas on, it floods it self instantly. So I think okay the floats needles are bad, so I take the carbs off replace them, etc. Put them back on, does the same thing, Runs on what ever gas is in the carbs on off, as soon as I turn the gas on it floods it self out instantly and dies, turn gas off and it turns back on and runs great. So I then pull them off again, and I split them apart to singles, Replace EVERY O-RING, with oem everything, Every O-Ring/seal has been replaced. Put carbs back on, IT DOES THE SAME THING. I cannot figure this out, im about to buy the 4 into 1 carb if I cant figure this out.
Can someone please give me Ideas here? I have never been this lost. Thank you all

It is always a good idea to bench test the carbs before putting them back on the bike. You have a float valve that isn't doing it's job. Either it is not moving properly, or is too far out of adjustment. Did you check the float valves for proper function by blowing air through them as you were putting the carbs together?

Yes I did, and all Float heights were set to the stock 21.0 MM

So it passed a bench test with fuel, but then leaked once on the bike? That would be strange. Have you checked the fuel pump pressure? Maybe it is flooding the carbs.
