Speedometer

Post by dubepj »

Finally received timing belts for my old (1975) GL1000. seems to run pretty good. After bike was warmed up tried the kick start,. One kick. Not sure how it work when bike is cold.
Anyhow speedo is in MPH. I think all 1975 were in MPH. Is there a speedo from later years I could put on there that would be in KPH. That would look like the one that's on there. thanks

Any good speedometer shop can convert the speedo for you.
Or they can just replace the face with one that has dual units.

There's a place called 2fastmoto on eBay that's selling km/h versions of the OE Honda speedo - might want to consider something like that, if the price of ancient unknown relics is unnerving.
