Rear Luggage Rack
Anybody know of a good option for a rear rack that will allow me to keep the blinkers in the stock location on the seat grab rail of my 1977 GL1000? I see very little out there, so it would be nice to understand what worked for others.

When you find out let us know. I have a similar issue. My new seat is a little longer and hits the rack .

Re: Rear Luggage Rack
That one will not work with the grab bar, but replaces it. For $65 and in rough shape, does not seem like the right answer.

Fred,
You've probably solved your problem after all of these years but I also am now looking into getting a luggage rack for my '77 GL1000. Those on eBay all seem to be in the US where postage charges to the UK exceed the price of the rack itself. I am considering this one on www.classicbikeracks.co.uk in stainless steel.

Too bad they don't ship to US. I would like that style on my '77. Hard to find anything decent that is not all rusted and needs re-chromed. I have one that came on the bike and there is little chrome left on it. About $200 to get it re-plated with no guarantee.

Re: Rear Luggage Rack
That one looks like a vintage rack an looks like it would inable to keep the blinkers. I have now adopted a great set of Hondaline Saddlebags so I moved to a 1978 fender, and taillight blinker setup.
