I've lost a tappet adjuster and locknut down the bottom drain hole on the left head of my '77 GL1000. After removing the engine, front and back covers, and oil sump filter, I've tried to fish out these parts with a magnet on a flexible wand, but no luck finding them.
Any suggestions, anyone?

Re: Lost Tappet Adjuster & Nut
Found it, finally. Pushed a probe through the bottom oil drain in the head, and it fell on top of the oil pump housing. Was able to fish it out from there.
I had tried tried the same procedure with the engine in frame, but no luck. Had to tilt the engine 30 degrees to get it to drop into the crankcase. What a PITA!!
