Im at the end of my abilities here. The front brakes on my 79 are sticking, or more to the point, not releasing when the lever is released. I have rebuilt the master cylinder, replaced the brake lines, and pulled apart the calipers (without rebuilding). Yet they still dont want to function properly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Sounds like time to rebuild the calipers. You can try to apply and release them, and if they are sticking then open the bleeder one at a time and see what you get. If they release that way, then it seems that the calipers are fine. I think there is a very small port in the master that cannot be restricted.

Thank you. I will give that a try to see if the calipers need to be rebuilt. Any suggestions on how to get that port cleaned out if needed?

Just want to say that the return port in the master cylinder was very plugged. Now that it has been cleaned out everything is working normally.
Thanks for the suggestions and information.

Glad to hear that all is well again, these bikes are very low maintenance with regular riding, but motorcycles have a long history of sitting around neglected at times and that means extra maintenance. You should be solid for a spell now.
