Tire "cupping"

Post by bjcrit »

I recently bought Dinabeads for front and rear tires of my GL 1100, and all throughout the reviews and advertisments people talked about tire cupping, that they help prevent it. I don't think I have ever experianced that, but would someone be so kind as to tell/explaine to me what it is.
Thanks

Cupping, usually found on the front tire, is where you get scalloped wear on the outer edges of the tire, worn indentations about 2-3 inches in diameter. Common causes are unbalanced tires and underinflated tires. When you lean into a turn on cupped tires, you get a lot of noise as the indentations make contact with the ground.

I could be wrong, but I think ads that you see are not necessarily the same ones seen by all. They are usually as a result of something you've viewed on your own computer or mobile device.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargeant Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

That's correct. We have (almost) no control over what ads get shown, and everyone sees different ads.

It's almost entirely based on demographics and behavioral information. You can see (and correct) the information Google thinks it knows about you here:

http://www.google.com/settings/ads/

So if you do a bunch of searches for "fishing boats" you're going to start seeing ads for fishing boats.

Whoever bids the highest amount for ads in a specific demographic (including physical location) gets their ads shown. Bloomberg is funneling a HUGE amount of money into ads, so his stuff is getting shown often, regardless of who you are.
