One of our own, RBGERSON has a lot of parts for the GL1100 advertised here. PM him and see what he might have.

Also check out PinWall Cycle Parts in their eBay store they have a lot of parts for the GL1100, you might contact them.

hey trimboli, your correct, the one on eBay is missing the compression fitting and the nut and bolt that lets it bolt up to your bike's oil drain. im gonna keep searching and see if i cant find one that has everything you'll need to make it work.

Sorry guys. I don't think either of those are or were made to fit a Gl1100 unless they are home made. It looks like this. They are no longer made.

Yeah! That flat bar is an upper mounting support. As stated they are no longer manufactured. E-bay or the for sale sections of forums will be the only place to find one. They do show up occasionally.

Thank you for the heads up. I have contacted the seller to see if it has all of the parts and maybe get a better deal. What is a fair price for one of these?

i paid $24.00 for mine with free shipping. you have 2 choices with that oil stick. you can cut that bracket off and get one of the straps like i have on mine to bolt it to your radiator grill, or leave it as is. personally, i would remove that ugly bracket and go for a cleaner mounting look. below is a pic of the bracket i have on mine that's bolted to my chrome radiator grill. you can find that small clamp at any hardware store, IE: Lowe's or home depot. these clamps have rubber insulators on them and are usually used for clamping coaxial cable on the outside of your home for either TV cables or phone cables. depending on what size you get, they are usually under a dollar and it makes for a cleaner look because the tube isn't sticking out past the radiator grill.

don't forget to scribe a mark on the stick so you can tell where the "full" line is. you can use a file or in my case, i used my angle grinder and cut a small thin line on it.

stuart, That looks a lot better than that bracket. I am waiting for the seller to reply. I will defiantly go with the smaller strap.
Thanks for all of the great info.
