No power checked main fuse replaced it still nothing

1983 1100 interstate main fuse blew replaced it still have noting bike totally dead

Get your volt meter and see what shape the battery is in.
From the battery - check that you are getting power to the solenoid.( Where the 30 amp fuse is at.)

Check to see if power from solenoid to starter.

If no to any of these Then check your ignition switch.

Battery volts come into the starter solenoid,pass through to the dog bone 30 amp fuse and go back out into the bike on the 2 red wires.One of the red wires feed the ignition switch,the other go to the pair of red wires on the regulator/rectifier module.
I guess the question is why did the fuse blow in the first place.Was it just old and cracked or burnt open indicating something drew more than 30 amp.
