Fuel barb into carb3 : flush or can you see 2nd o-ring

Post by sacruickshank »

As part of a carb clean and o-ring refresh, I pulled out the fuel barb going into carb3 and replaced the two o-rings. When re-assembling, the barb doesn't seem to go in all the way and I can see a little of the 2nd o-ring peeking out.

Is that normal or should I find a way to get the barb in deeper so the metal plate becomes flush?

Thanks,

Thanks, that's what I suspected but wanted to double check before finding a way to apply more force without damaging the fuel barb.

Pull it out make sure the tube sides are clean and smooth, put a little lube on the o rings..oil works OK,
