Extra Part

Post by Zads »

Hello all,

I'm just finishing rebuilding the heads and water pump on my 1983 GL1100A and I have one part that I'm not sure where it goes (or maybe it doesn't belong to this bike :?

Attached is the picture of the part, if anyone knows where it belongs I would really appreciate the info.

Regards,
Zads

I've seen a part like that on my old GL1100 but cannot remember what it was for -

Looks like the seat adjustment lever that goes on the left side of the seat and a Allen head bolt holds it in place.

redbug is correct.
It goes on the seat. I took mine off several years ago. The seat is held in place by my seat.
In all my riding I have never lost a seat.

Now I can throw that part out of my collection - no longer have the bike lol - and actually got it as a spare part when purchased..

Great! Thanks guys, I have not put the seat back on so that explains it. I was worried it was for something in the front end
