Wiring Harness gone naked advice. ASAP

Post by ApplecoreR6 »

Hi there guys, I'm finishing up my project, now I'm down to the wiring... I removed the fairing off my 1981 GL1100 I and am putting aftermarket turn signals on the front only (keeping saddlebags for now) and my wiring harness is complete mess... Now I want to cut down the harness, but I fear that when cutting I'm going to cut something important. Does anyone suggest me cutting down to leave for front turn signals and headlight? I don't want to have a whole huge mess ziptied to my frame, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I have a color code already and am just looking for some advice. Thanks (posting pictures soon) Do you agree with me cutting the harness down or what?

NO, what are you going to cut out??? Taking the fairing off doesn't eliminate anything except..depending on your GL radio, clock, altimeter, etc. all that is on the fairing harness which unplugs by itself..
HAD LOTS OF GOLDWING 75-83
NOW INTO 1500'S..RIDING A 1998 SE

FAIR WINDS,
