vacuum cap size?

Post by BRYuma43 »

Anyone happen to know what size the caps are that go on the GL1100 carb vacuum ports? One of mine has blown off. If not, no biggie. I'll eyeball it at the parts store.

Ah, maybe I'm asking the wrong question! I have the brass nipples installed and 3 of them have a rubber cover over them. THe fourth nipple has no cover. I noticed it because every now and again I started hearing a noise like an air compressor releasing pressure while I was riding
Should I have a threaded metal plug installed when not synching the carbs? I bought the bike recently and the previous owner had synched the carbs recently.

If you want a vacuum cap they are 1/8 or so, parts stores have vacuum caps in assorted pkgs.

I guess he left his adapters on it, he may need those someday and if like me he won't remember what happened to them. :D
